<p>With out of band management systems such as <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Remote_access_card" target="_blank">out of band management</a> (often known as lights out management or LOM), <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/KVM_switch#KVM_over_IP" target="_blank">KVM over IP</a> and <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Console_server" target="_blank">console servers</a> becoming more popular, we are able to respond remotely to &#8220;server down&#8221; problems.</p>
